Weekend weather: Rain and snow expected as temperatures begin to rise

Rain is expected toward the end of this week and some snow might fall this weekend.

Thursday should be sunny with a high near 33 and gentle northeast wind, the National Weather Service reports. There is a 10 percent chance of precipitation. After 4 p.m. there may be some freezing rain. Thursday night the chance of precipitation grows to 20 percent. Winds should remain calm.

Friday will be cloudy with a high 38 degrees. There might be rain, or freezing rain, before 10 a.m. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent. Friday night it will likely rain, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday there is a 50 percent chance of rain with a high near 36 degrees. Early Sunday morning there is a chance of snow, with a 30 percent chance of snow later in the day.
