BLM hopes to have Charcoal Fire contained by noon
The Bureau of Land Management is still investigating the cause of a fire near Lucky Peak Reservoir which began Wednesday evening and has since burned about 60 acres in the area.
Crews believe they can contain the fire by noon today, and hope to have it under control by 8 p.m., according to a news release from the Bureau of Land Management.
The fire, dubbed the Charcoal Fire, has drawn one helicopter, two engines, one hand crew and one bulldozer to the area, the release states.
The blaze began not long after 7 p.m. Wednesday when multiple agencies were reported as responding.
