Teen seriously injured by vehicle while crossing intersection in northwest Spokane

A teenager was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries Saturday evening after police say a vehicle hit him while he crossed Northwest Boulevard.

Witnesses said the teenager was crossing northbound at Cannon Street and Northwest Boulevard, when he was hit by a westbound vehicle at around 9 p.m., according to a police news release. Police said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperative.

The teenager was transported to a local hospital.

Investigators do not believe speed or impairment were factors in the collision.

The driver has not been arrested or charged with a crime. There were no other injuries.
