Cougs play top-ranked Cardinal to 1-1 draw

Morgan Weaver scored an unassisted goal in the 77th minute and goalkeeper Rachel Thompson made a career-high nine saves as the Washington State Cougars (11-5-1, 4-5-1) played the top-ranked Stanford Cardinal (15-0-2, 8-0-1) to a 1-1 draw in double overtime in Pac-12 Conference play in Pullman.

Catarina Macario scored an unassisted goal for Stanford in the 41st minute, but the Cardinal led just 1-0 at halftime despite getting off 19 shots.

WSU snapped a four-match losing streak against Stanford.
