Man in suspected hit-and-run dies

A man injured in a suspected hit-and-run Tuesday has died, and investigators are asking the public for information about what happened that night.

No details were yet available about the identity of the man, whom emergency responders from the Spokane Valley Fire Department found bleeding near North Williams Road, north of Trent Avenue, sometime before 7 p.m. Tuesday, according to a news release from the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. His leg appeared broken and the injury looked serious but not life-threatening at the time, the release said.

The man died Friday at a hospital.

Investigators Sunday were at the scene of the suspected collision. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
