GSL boys: Griffin Effenberger scores 37 points, Lewis and Clark tops University in overtime

Lewis and Clark 85, University 77: Griffin Effenberger scored 37 points, including 16 of 18 from the line, and the visiting Tigers (8-12, 5-9) beat the Titans (12-8, 7-7) in the Greater Spokane League regular season finale on Thursday.

Ben Merritt had 20 points and Xavier Guillory added 10 for LC. Logan Dreher scored 21 points, Marcus Lenker finished with 20 and Logan Phillips had 19 for U-Hi.

Gonzaga Prep 64, Central Valley 48: Anton Watson scored 23 points, Carter Sonneborn added 16 and the visiting 4A No. 2-ranked Bullpups (18-2, 14-0) beat the Bears (11-9, 7-7) to secure a second-straight undefeated regular season.

Luke Sukut led CV with 14 points while Jayce Simmons and Quinn Johnson added 10 points apiece.

Ferris 66, Mead 53: Reece Van Lierop scored 17 points and the visiting 4A No. 8-ranked Saxons (15-5, 10-4) tamed the Panthers (3-17, 2-12).

Kellen Erickson scored 15 points and Cole Omlin added 12 for Ferris. Mead was led by Johnathan Baird with 15 points, Tyson Rogalette added 13 and Brandon Shoff had 11.

Mt. Spokane 54, North Central 36: Tyson Degenhart had 16 points, Jerry Twenge added 10 and the visiting 3A No. 2-ranked Wildcats (19-1, 11-1) beat the Indians (9-11, 5-7).

Leon Sayers led NC with 13 points.

Shadle Park 84, Rogers 66: Nian Allen scored 17 points, Jake Groves added 16 and the Highlanders (11-9, 4-8) the visiting Pirates (4-16, 1-11).

Calyn Glover scored 14 points and Riley Funnemark had 14 for Rogers.
