Engel & Volkers affiliate

Spokane Realtor Alex Ganea has rebranded his company as an Engel & Volkers franchise, with a focus on luxury properties.

Engel & Volkers Spokane’s office is in River Park Square at 808 W. Main Ave., Suite 229. The company’s 17 real estate advisers will serve the greater Spokane and Coeur d’Alene markets and Sandpoint.

Ganea has 15 years experience in real estate in the Spokane and Coeur d’Alene markets. He previously led an independent real estate brokerage, Discovery Real Estate Group.

Engel & Volkers was founded in Germany in 1977 and has it’s U.S. headquarters in New York City. The brand advertises its niche in luxury properties and concierge-style real estate service.

The Spokane office is Engel & Volkers third location in Washington.

Idaho STEM Action awards grants

The Idaho STEM Action Center has awarded 70 grants worth more than $250,000 to schools, districts, libraries and out-of-school and youth-enrichment programs statewide to advance science, technology, engineering and mathematics education.

North Idaho organizations received 15 of the grants, including $2,500 to Cascade Elementary School, $2,486 to Cascade Schools, $2,354 to Council Elementary School, $9,720 to Garden Valley District Library and $9,210 to Horizons Lifestyle and Education Team.
