Boy trapped in tree, rescued by firefighters
Firefighters rescued a boy trapped in a tree near Garry Middle School in north Spokane on Thursday evening.
The boy had climbed about 50 feet up the tree at about 4:50 p.m. at Nevada Park, according to KHQ TV.
Fire crews used a scaling ladder to climb up, strap the boy to a harness and lower him down. The boy was reunited with his mom after about an hour and a half in the tree.
