Minor allegedly driving while high hits another car, sends man to hospital

A 16-year-old woman allegedly high on marijuana crashed into a car at about 5:50 p.m. Thursday on East Sinto Avenue and North Dick Road.

The driver of the car she hit was sent to the hospital, according to a news release from the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.

The woman was arrested and booked into the Spokane County Juvenile Detention Center for alleged DUI and vehicular assault. according to the sheriff’s office. The woman was also reportedly speeding 25 to 35 mph over the speed limit, according to the release.

The suspect’s name is not being released because she is a minor.

The condition of the injured driver is not available, but the release states he suffered a concussion and a passenger in his car broke a bone.
