For years, country singer Kip Moore has played acoustic shows for fans who purchase VIP packages during his headlining shows. Eventually, he believed that it was time to give fans what they had been asking for: a collection of acoustic songs.

Moore released “Room to Spare: The Acoustic Sessions” last November. The EP features an acoustic version of “Plead the Fifth,” from 2017’s “Slowheart,” as well as six never-before-released songs Moore told The Spokesman-Review, during an interview last year, had “slipped by the wayside” before he reconnected with them.

“The acoustic project, I’m pulling out some old ones that I wrote 10 years ago … one of the songs is 12 years old,” he said. “Seeing these songs get a little life is going to be an exciting thing.” The “Room to Spare” tour brings Moore to the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox on Thursday.

In non-acoustic Moore news, the singer recently released a new single, “She’s Mine,” hinting at a follow-up to “Slowheart,” which brought him to the Fox last year.
