Fallout from the state’s latest court loss on Tuesday in the Idaho Education Network contract case has included a halt to settlement talks with two vendors over more than $6 million in legal claims, the possibility of vendors filing new lawsuits against the state, the potential that the state could be forced to pay back up to $25 million in federally e-rate payments received for the IEN, and a $930,000 bill for the legal fees of the case’s winner, Syringa Networks, reports Kevin Richert of Idaho Education News.
