Amazon Fresh

So here's a cool idea. Amazon, well known for their product delivery, has added groceries to their list of offerings. They're calling the service Amazon Fresh. And they're claiming that if you order by midnight, your groceries will arrive by 6am. That's a bit early for me personally, but you can select a day and time to receive your order that's convenient for you. Or they can drop it off when you're not home. Your choice.
They carry staple foods, produce, there's a bakery, a deli... everything a grocery store should have, including pet care. There is also a gourmet 'aisle' as well as a special order section where you can request "anything". They also deliver beer and wine, provided you'll be home to receive it (have that I.D. ready!). Worried about keeping your food fresh while it's being delivered? So are they. They keep frozen food frozen and chilled food chilled so it's as fresh as possible when you take delivery.
So far they are only delivering in the Seattle area, but I hope they will be expanding soon. To sign up for notification when delivery starts in your area, go here: http://fresh.amazon.com/FutureInfo. Amazon Fresh also uses this feature to help them determine where to expand their service, so by signing up you'll be putting your neighborhood on their radar.
They do have minimum requirements for delivery, but it's well within reason. A $30 minimum order is necessary, and at $75 and above, delivery is free (orders under $75 incur a nominal $5 charge).
Aside from being really cool, how is this green? Imagine everyone in your neighborhood gets this service. One truck on one roundtrip can service the entire area, as opposed to each household driving separately. I wonder how much that would save in carbon emissions?
