Breaking! Cougar Bay Group Wants Permit
In an effort to block a proposed expansion of 
dock construction and storage on Cougar Bay, two riparian land owners have filed "an extraordinary application" to protect osprey on the bay. Sue Flammia and Dianne and Ed Haglund have filed an application with the Idaho Department of Lands for a permit to: 1. Protect the Osprey habitat, 2. Preserve the pilings, and 3. Keep Cougar Bay waters quiet. In a cover letter, attorney Scott Reed said: "Log storage has been abandoned. If not maintained, the pilings will eventually crumble and the nesting sites will be gone."
