At 4:26 this morning, Coeur d’Alene firefighters responded to a structure fire on the 700 block of 7th street. First arriving crews discovered a two-story residence with heavy fire showing from the main floor, extending to the second floor. Crews extinguished the main body of fire quickly, but remained on scene for hours extinguishing the deep-seated fire in the roof/attic space. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation with the Idaho State Fire Marshal’s Office, Coeur d'Alene Police Department with the assistance of an accelerant sniffing canine from Spokane.
