Schilling Loop Road in Post Falls was closed to traffic on Monday because a portion of the road was washed away. Expect a brief reprieve from the rain today, but the soggy spring is just getting started. Mixed rain and snow is forecast through Friday, with flood warnings continuing on some North Idaho rivers. Authorities are warning rafters and kayakers to stay out of the swollen Spokane River. The city of Spokane also is advising hikers to avoid flooded portions of the Centennial Trail along Upriver Drive. (SR photo: Kathy Plonka)
