Eastwood In Idaho Raises $2M For Mitt
Clint Eastwood, a part-time Idaho resident for decades, helped GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney raise more than $2 million last Friday in a visit to Idaho's Wood River Valley. Tickets ranged from $1,000 for a reception at the Sun Valley Company's River Run Lodge and $25,000 for a private dinner, the Idaho Mountain Express reports today. Eastwood told the newspaper he met then-gubernatorial candidate Romney while directing "Mystic River" in Massachusetts. "I thought, 'He's too handsome to be governor, but he does look like he could be president,'" Eastwood said, adding, "I'm going to be voting for him/Dan Popkey, Idaho Statesman. More here.
