Huckleberries Hears …

... That Jeff Ward (pictured) of the Reagan Republicans is preparing a letter to be sent to Kootenai County Republican Central Committee members re: the executive board's unilateral decision to reinvite controversial Richard Mack to speak at the Lincoln Day Dinner. Ward led the attempt to disinvite Mack, who has strong ties to the Far Right and political parties other than Republican. The 31-30 CC vote to disinvite Mack was overturned this week by the executive committee after an alleged forged proxy ballot was found among the majority. In a preliminary copy that Huckleberries has seen, Ward compares the method used by Chairwoman Tina Jacobson and the executive committee to overturn the vote to what he calls Barack Obama's "blatant disregard for and continual skirting of the requirements of the Constitution and the laws of the United States." Ward continues to say that "our Republican Party leadership and our KCRCC Executive Board reflect this same flagrant disregard for our own controlling Parliamentary Law, our KCRCC Bylaws, Republican Party Rules and even the Idaho State Code, as well as abusing positions of authority to investigate and intimidate those who disagree with them." Stay tuned.
