Local GOP To Meet re: Govt Change

The Elephants will be gathering to take a position on the proposed change in Kootenai County government that'll be on the November ballot. The Kootenai County GOP Central Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the county administration building, 451 Government Way, Coeur d'Alene. In an email, CC secretary Sheila Waller described the purpose of the special meeting as two-fold:

  • Debate and vote on a resolution supporting the retention of the present form of Kootenai County government.
  • Transfer funds allocated for advertising Unified Land Use Code town hall meetings, in the amount of $200.00, to advertise for a town hall meeting concerning the proposed change in county government.

Question: Any prediction re: outcome?
