Museum To Publish Hydroplane Book

The Museum of North Idaho is about to publish Stephen Shepperd's book about the love-hate relationship that the city of Coeur d'Alene has with hydroplane racing. There's a coupla chapters that feature my coverage of the attempt to bring back the hydroplanes in the mid-1980s. On his Facebook wall, Stephen posts:

Many of you have read or heard from time to time that I have been working on a book about the history of the Diamond Cup unlimited hydroplane race.I am proud to announce today that the book will soon be published by the Museum of North Idaho, and that the museum has initiated a pre-sale of the book on its website. The following link will take you to the MofNI website where there is a link to order your copy of the book. The book should be released by mid-September, and the museum's pre-sale offers free shipping and a discounted price to those buying before the tentative release date. More here.

Question: Are you be interested in the history of local hydroplane racing?
