And Down Comes Expanded Seawall

City work crews were busy taking down the expanded seawall along City Park and West Lakeshore this afternoon. The boards had been removed by the time I walked by, around 1 p.m. The metal extenders were being removed. City crews increased the seawall by 4 feet or so on Monday, to show federal flood authorities that the city has extra protection if a significant flood threatened the north shore. The work should be finished by midafternoon.

Question: Did you get a chance to see the expanded seawall before it was removed today?
