Ybarra To Attend Thursday Meeting
Campaign staff for Republican candidate for Superintendent of Public Instruction Sherri Ybarra announced she will attend the 2014 Idaho Annual Superintendents conference meeting on Thursday in Boise. The announcement comes a few days after a piece appeared in Idaho Education News saying Ybarra was “too busy” to attend the first part of the conference, and she was having coffee with a Republican legislator in the same neighborhood. Ybarra says Idaho educators will discuss tiered licensure, the star rating system, task force updates, Smarter Balanced testing, and professional development on the Idaho Core Standards, and she plans to attend to speak one-on-one with superintendents and other educators in attendance/Idaho Press Tribune.
