Senate 30-5 To Hike Butch & Co Pay

With no opposing debate, the Senate has passed SB 1395, the bill granting raises to top statewide elected officials over the next four years, on a 30-5 vote. The bill now moves to the House. It gives the governor, secretary of state, treasurer, controller and superintendent of schools 2.5 percent increases next year and each year thereafter. The Attorney General’s pay would rise next year to that of district judges, a 16 percent increase; and the lieutenant governor would get a 19.6 percent boost next year, with 2.5 percent increments thereafter/Betsy Russell, Eye on Boise. More here.

Question: Wouldn't you like a 2.5 percent raise over the next 4-5 years?
