Nesse, Sims Pour $$$ Into Campaigns

In the Coeur d'Alene Press, Jeff Selle reports: Candidates in the Nov. 4 general election have filed their sunshine reports, disclosing what they raised in the summer months. The reports cover money raised and spent between May 31 and Sept. 30. Another round of reports will be due Oct. 28, covering the time period from Oct. 1 through Oct. 19. The big money race is for Legislative District 4, House seat B, where Democratic challenger Anne Nesse is reporting that she raised $8,462, but $4,211 of that is her own money. She started the summer with $1,770 in the bank, and now has $7,059 in the bank. She spent $3,173 during the reporting period. Of 36 donors to her campaign, 30 are local. Nesse is challenging incumbent Rep. Kathy Sims, who started the summer with $3,230 in her campaign account. She raised $5,393, but like Nesse, Sims donated $5,256 to her own campaign. Sims spent $4,503 and still had $4,119 in the bank at the beginning of this month. Six of her 17 donors are not local. More here.

Question: Am I the only one who notices that there aren't many yard signs out this fall?
