From The Peanut Gallery …

Chef Gus comments (RE: Hitching Post suit at a standstill):

My wife and I were "Hitched" at the Hitching Post, and were aware, and quite ok with it being Not a Civil Ceremony, rather a 'religious' ceremony even though both of us are currently non affiliated deists. My daughter is Gay and was married in California during the 'window of opportunity' some years ago. I have no reason to object, other than perhaps not using their services to the fact that they choose to not do religious services for whatever reason by faith. I disagree with their 'interpretation' of Gospel... but they are entitled to that... and seem to me they are being not allowed their 'freedom of religion'. People can choose or not to use their 'services'.. and they should not be forced to marry anyone... Unless they are simply a Civil Service.

Question: BTW, does anyone know if that alternative wedding service to the Hitching Post is still in operation?
