BYU Yanks Gonzaga Back Down To Earth

And it’s gone. The Senior Night good vibes. Not in 17 years had Gonzaga turned off the scoreboard for the final time of the season with the bigger number showing on the visitors’ side. The home-court winning streak, over at 41. The perfect cruise through the West Coast Conference round-robin. Eighteen-and-oh remains a precedent for another day. And, in a highly unofficial exit poll from this lonesome precinct, the No. 1 seed that’s been the chew toy for college basketball’s mavenhood these past few weeks. Gone. All of it. Pfft/John Blanchette, SR. More here.

Question: Was Gonzaga's loss to BYU a foreshadowing of a bumpy road ahead in the West Coast Conference and the NCAA Tournament?
