Easy For Criminals To Get Guns Here

A week ago today, Sgt. Greg Moore, with the Coeur d'Alene Police Department, was pronounced dead. He succumbed to injuries he suffered from a gunshot wound earlier that morning. The man accused of shooting Moore, Jonathan Renfro, according to court documents was in possession of a gun. Investigators with Idaho State Police say Renfro admitted repeatedly to shooting Moore in fear the Sgt. would find the gun he was hiding in his pocket. Investigators wouldn't tell us exactly where Renfro obtained a gun, considering he has, in the past, been charged with felonies. Officers did, however, tell KHQ he got the gun illegally. An easy task in Idaho. "If a criminal wants to get a gun, they're going to get a gun," says Lieutenant Stu Miller with the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office/Victor Correa, KHQ. More here.
