John Green’s statement re: Malheur standoff

On his John Green for Sheriff Facebook page on Jan. 9, "Constitutional Sheriff" candidate John Green made a statement about the Malheur Wildlife Refuge standoff that was in its opening days. He also posted a video by controversial former sheriff Richard Mack about the situation. Here's Green's statement:

"I understand the reasoning behind Mr. Bundys actions. I understand the frustration of the people who are with him now. However, I don't agree with their course of action. The Hammond's Sheriff (Harney County Sheriff Dave Ward) could have protected them from the lynching they suffered and continue to suffer! Sheriff Mack would have done it and I will do it! You're either a Constitutional Sheriff, or no Sheriff (at) all!"
