Letter: Quit persecuting Rep Sims

In a letter to the Coeur d'Alene Press editor, long-time Republican stalwart calls on the newspaper to quit reminding readers about a close encounter that state Rep. Kathy Sims had with a Coeur d'Alene police officer:

"It amazes me that the Coeur d’Alene Press feels an obligation to repeatedly report on a traffic ticket concerning State Rep. Kathy Sims. She has been an extremely generous member of our community as well as a successful businesswoman who has received national recognition for her expertise in the automotive industry. The Press has inaccurately reported the incident with inference of impropriety and my question is “Why?” As with all incidents, there are two sides to the story"/Ruthie Johnson, of Hayden, Coeur d'Alene Press letter to the editor. More here.

Question: Do you agree/disagree with the point of Ruthie Johnson's letter?
