Update: Samuel fate in jury’s hands

A jury Friday began deliberating whether to find 16-year-old Eldon Gale Samuel III guilty of murdering his younger brother and father in Coeur d’Alene almost two years ago. Samuel is charged with first-degree murder for killing 13-year-old Jonathan Samuel and second-degree murder for killing Eldon Samuel Jr., 46. First District Judge Benjamin Simpson informed the jury about lesser charges to consider if they acquit Samuel of murder. Those include voluntary and involuntary manslaughter. The jury of eight men and four women began deliberating just after noon, after attorneys made their closing statements/Scott Maben, SR. More here.
