Andrus endorses Piotrowski

You can read the statement submitted by former Idaho Gov. Cecil Andrus, endorsing the candidacy of Democrat James Piotrowski in the race for the seat now held by Republican Idaho Congressman Raul Labrador:

“Idaho residents deserve leadership in Congress that puts Idaho interests first. That’s why I wholeheartedly endorse James Piotrowski for U.S. Representative in Idaho’s 1st Congressional District race. “James’ skills as a problem solver and his commitment to serving the needs of others will provide a sharp contrast to Raul Labrador’s efforts to serve his own special interests by obstructing the work of Congress. James’ work in Idaho on behalf of working people, and in protecting and enhancing our public lands, have demonstrated his ability to bring people together to resolve difficult problems. He will apply that same common sense, inclusive and collaborative approach to serving the 1st District in Congress.  “By building bridges rather than walls, James will help build a stronger economy that works for all Idahoans. He will protect the rights of Idahoans to access our public lands for hunting, fishing and recreation. By working across party lines work across party lines he will bring people together to get things done for Idaho — and end the gridlock that has paralyzed our nation’s capital. “James will provide the leadership Idaho needs.”
