The tin gods of the local Republican Central Committee may not like Rep. Luke Malek, R-Coeur d'Alene, but the firefighters sure do. Luke Facebooks: "I was honored to receive the Firefighter's Legislator of the Year award this week. I'm doubly honored as this is the second time these brave women and men have chosen me. Thank you, firefighters, for the recognition, but even more so for what you do for our communities." So who has more sense -- local Teapublican leaders or the state's firefighters?
