Sunny Seattle welcomes SIFF

It’s one of those beautiful Seattle days, 70ish and sunny, that leads you to believe that it could never rain here. Right.

What better way to enjoy such good weather than to go and inaugurate the 2007 Seattle International Film Festival.

Tonight at 7 we’ll head to the Seattle Center to see the opening-gala film, which carries the curious title “Son of Rambow” (which I once typed as “Son of Rainbow,” mea culpa). It’s a British children’s film that I didn’t get to see at Sundance but that is getting good word of mouth.

Between now and then we hope to hook up with Leslie Kelly, the former food writer/restaurant reviewer for The Spokesman-Review who – after spending three years in Memphis – is now doing the same job for The Seattle Post-Intelligencer.

You can catch her blog by clicking here.
