Newsrooms then vs. Newsrooms now
There are lots of differences, of course, between newsrooms of the 1970s and newsrooms of 2015. Some of them deal with diversity and the Internet. But in my estimation, three differences stand out.
1. No smoking.
2. Electronic communication all but silenced the phones.
3. No more typewriter sounds.
