But not too busy to pass along some links, as well as some video from yesterday's WSU media availablity we weren't able to get to due to a tight travel schedule and other newspaper duties. Read on.

We're going to have our first pre-basketball-game live chat of the season tonight at 6 p.m. PT, one hour before WSU's game against Kansas tips off. Expect these to be a regular occurrence this season. ... In today's newspaper, we have a story written off WSU's conference call (which I attended from the ticketing area inside the Phoenix airport with my phone pinned to my ear by my headphones, like any true professional), along with this advance of WSU's basketball game against Kansas focusing on Royce Woolridge facing his former team. Wounded Oregon has some work to do if it wants to overcome Saturday's potentially season-sinking loss. ... A Colorado freshman is eyeing the starting quarterback job next season. ... Utah had its chances to beat Arizona. ... California coach Jeff Tedford is still in limbo. ... Stanford jumped into the BCS top 10 with its win over Oregon. ... UCLA's Pac-12 fate is in its control. ... More bad news for USC, as its quarterback won't start against Notre Dame.

In basketball action last night ... Arizona State blasted Florida A&M, 97-70. Would have taken the Sun Devils two games to score that many points last season. ... Washington lost to No. 4 Ohio State, 77-66. ... Colorado won the Charleston Classic with an 81-74 win over Murray State. ... Stanford lost to Belmont at home, 70-62.
