COUGARS
Sometimes, a warm spring day produces some football news. Yesterday was one of those days. Keep reading.

Had the chance to attend the Associated Press Sports Editor Northwest regional conference yesterday in Yakima, where WSU athletic director Bill Moos was the guest speaker. He was candid and insightful during his hour or so with us, and we put together this story leading with some of Moos' comments about WSU's future plans for facilities upgrades, as well as Moos' statement that he doesn't believe WSU is assured of six wins in the 2013 season.
The AP has a story about Moos' comments here, and the Yakima Herald-Republic, which was a gracious host for the conference, has this story.
The Pac-12's football coaches held an end-of-spring teleconference yesterday, during which Mike Leach told reporters that if the season started today, four of WSU's five starting offensive linemen would be walk-ons or former walk-ons (though I only count three, based on what we saw in spring).
Remember Tanner Lancona? The former WSU signee reportedly will head to Saint Louis to play basketball next season.
Leach is quoted in this Todd Dybas notebook from the conference call.
