U.S. Navy veteran and Kootenai County Deputy Sheriff, Yvonne Cress suffered a stroke that paralyzed the right side of her body after giving birth to her daughter. She will soon be without pay and benefits. Smith and Malek is sponsoring the Community Strong event along with Black Goat Fitness on Aug. 26 at 9 a.m. to raise funds for Deputy Sheriff Cress.
