Chorale Coeur d’Alene Fall Auditions
Chorale Coeur d’Alene – formerly Northwest Sacred Music Chorale — is looking for people who love to sing! Audition dates include August 30, 6:00-9:00 at Opportunity Presbyterian Church in Spokane Valley and August 28, 6:00-9:00 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Coeur d’Alene. Auditions are simple and no preparation is needed. To audition, new members will simply sight-read a hymn, sing some scales to determine in which section he or she should sing and tell us about your previous choir experience. Our repertoire is drawn from both sacred and secular works, and includes music of Haydn, Mozart and Palestrina to Rutter, Martin and Holst. This Fall’s concerts, titled SPIRIT AWAKE, include works of Mendelssohn, Copland and Haydn and include a performance at the Panida Theater in Sandpoint. This Spring we will be performing two Requiems – Gabriel Faure and Dan Forrest – in Coeur d’Alene and at The Fox in Spokane.
