Author Peter Brown Hoffmeister

September 15, 2017

Book launch of “Too Shattered for Mending,” the coming-of-age story of Little McCardell. His tiny Idaho town is impoverished, derelict by hunger, violence, drugs, and a consuming feeling of hopelessness. Little begins to learn Spanish in order to feel closer to his estranged father, and promises to graduate high school and care for his younger cousing. When the local police begin questioning him about his absent grandfather, however, Little is forced to confront worlds in which danger is never too far away. Covering many controversial topics including drugs, abuse, drinking, and mental and behavioral challenges, Hoffmeister’s newest novel is a gritty, poignant story that draws inspiration from his own troubled teen years.
