FSPW and ICL present George Wuerthner
The Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness and Idaho Conservation League present guest lecturer George Wuerthner. He has worked as a wilderness ranger in Alaska, has written 38 books on America’s wild places and currently serves as Advocate-Organizer for Wilderness Watch. Wuerthner is also this year’s winner of the Fund for Wild Nature’s Grassroots Activist of the Year Award. He will be discussing challenges facing wilderness areas today, how citizens can better protect wilderness in Idaho and around the country, and ongoing congressional efforts to weaken or repeal the Wilderness Act.
