Mochi Fest
December 30, 2018 - December 31, 2018
Around the start of the New Year, many Japanese households take part in the tradition of mochitsuki (the pounding of rice to make mochi) using a sweet rice that can be eaten in a sweet or savory dish. A variety of mochi will be for sale. Proceeds benefit the temple’s minister assistants’ education. Dine in or take out. Dec. 30, 11:30 a.m. and Dec. 31, 7:20 p.m.
