Making Tribal Dolls

This doll making workshop, led by Master American Indian Artist HollyAnna “CougarTracks” DeCoteau Littlebull, one of the featured artists in the Museum’s currently displayed exhibition “As Grandmother Taught: Women, Tradition and Plateau Art”, is designed for all skills levels. Students leave with a completed doll perfect for a child’s toy or display. All supplies necessary to create a cloth male or female doll, and cloth material for a wing dress or ribbon shirt/leggings is included. Feel free to bring special items you want to place on your doll such as beads, shells, material or feathers. This workshop will be a set in a social environment and tailored for group learning. Those attending are invited to stay for the entirety of the workshop or an hour or two if preferred.
