History of Yum: What Dining Was Like in the Time of Pompeii (with Wine!)
April 24, 2020 - April 24, 2020
Inspired by the Museum’s exhibit “Pompeii: The Immortal City” food historian and college faculty member Monica Stenzel will take you back in time to this ancient Roman city to learn about the food and wine enjoyed by the elite - and the simple fare that sustained everyone else. Using archaeological records, mosaics, and frescos, she will discuss this long-ago menu, soup to nuts. Enjoy a complementary glass of wine as you learn (21 and older).
