Alan Wolfe

A candidate for Council seat No. 2, City of Post Falls in the 2013 Nov. 5 Idaho General Election

City: Post Falls, Idaho

Occupation: Spokane Teachers Credit Union director of branches

On this race:

Alan Wolfe is director of branches for Spokane Teachers Credit Union and chairman of the Post Falls Planning and Zoning Commission. He says the best thing the city can do is be as helpful as possible to potential and existing businesses. “Potential businesses should find a knowledgeable and willing partner at City Hall.” For existing businesses, the city can help them grow and be more successful by building its relationship with Jobs Plus, the Chamber of Commerce, the urban renewal agency, the school district and other organizations, he said. Wolfe promises to be “a knowledgeable and relentless budget hawk” and encourage department heads to stretch their dollars. He also stands for managed growth with infill development and limits on urban sprawl. “We also need to make sure we have the infrastructure available to support our growth in the near and distant future,” he said. “We have a comprehensive plan and we have a strategic plan, now we just need a viable growth plan.”
