Summary

Molly Wachtel hit a sacrifice fly to deep left field to drive in the winning run and lead West Valley to a 2-1 victory over North Central in a nonleague girls fastpitch softball game Monday night.

Sydney Jones hit a leadoff double at the bottom of the seventh inning. Kately Sage then singled to move Jones to third before Wachtel drove in the winning run. Mikyla Carpenter added two doubles for the Eagles.

Freshman Brooke Olson, making her first varsity start, had 12 strikeouts to lead North Central.
