Summary

In a battle of long-range shooting, University emerged with a 76-71 Greater Spokane League win over Ferris on Thursday. The Titans made 62 percent (16 for 26) of their shots from beyond the three-point line while Ferris shot 48 percent (11 for 23).

Dray White was 6 for 9 from behind the arc on the way to a game-high 25 points for University. Spencer Matt also had a hot hand, making 5 of 8 3-point attempts for 15 points.

With a minute remaining, the Saxons were able to pull within three points as Shamrock Campbell made a great assist to set up a Jace Van Lierop 3-pointer. University, however, held on with some key free throws down the stretch.

Mike Ervin led Ferris with 24 points and seven rebounds. Murphy Butte added 17 points and Van Lierop had 15.
