Summary

Murphy Butte led a balanced Ferris attack as the Saxons repelled North Central 53-46 Tuesday at Ferris.

Butte finished with 12 points. Shamrock Campbell had 11, and Mike Ervin added 10 points and four assists.

Riley Smith scored 11 points and Austen Scally tallied seven points and six rebounds for the Indians. NC held the lead in the fourth quarter, but clutch threes from Campbell and Jace Van Lierop swung the tide in the Saxons' favor. Ferris then knocked down all six of their free throw attempts down the stretch and made 16-of-17 for the game. NC also committed 20 turnovers to hinder their chances of a road upset.
