Summary

Dedrick Pakootas hit a three-pointer as the third quarter expired to push the lead to 11, and Mead held off Rogers for a 61-48 victory. Pakootas finished with eight points. While Pakootas' three-pointer helped cement the Panthers' lead, Mead built that lead with two key advantages. First, the Panthers outrebounded the Pirates 37 to 25. Second, Mead shot 10 for 19 on three-pointers, while Rogers hit only four of 16. Otherwise, field goal shooting was close; Mead shot 42%, and Rogers hit 40%.

Will McPhee had an outstanding game for Mead, finishing with 11 points, eight assists and eight rebounds. Max Hess had a team-high 19 points. For Rogers, Robert Rucker led with 17 points, and Melik Hampton added 12 points.
