Summary

Deer Park's five-run seventh inning was the difference in the Stags' 6-2 win in the semifinals of District 7 1A tournament at Vaagen Park in Colville on Saturday.

Kylie Sweeney launched a grand slam in the seventh inning, while was followed by a solo shot from Courtney Stockman to fuel the Stags' five-run inning.

Sweeney also was the inning pitcher, posting eight strikeout.

Deer Park qualified for the state tournament. The Stags lost to Lakeside in the championship game later in the evening.
