At Yakima in the first round of the 2A regionals, Ellensburg scored six runs with two outs in the bottom of the fourth, capitalizing on walks and errors and punctuated the scoring with a base-clearing triple by Alonso Bibiano to defeat Cheney 7-0, ending the season for the Blackhawks. Cheney pitcher Sawyer Sims left the game in the fourth inning with an elbow injury.

J.T. Phelan had a strong start with 13 strikeouts and Gage Burland had a solo homer in the fifth to help lead East Valley to a 10-7 victory over Cheney in the GNL District Championship. For Cheney, Sawyer Simms had a home run in the sixth to help the make it close at the end. Both teams advance to the state tournament.
