What happened: Kaylee Ripke pitched all seven innings with 14 strikeouts allowing two hits and the top-seeded Scotties (22-3) defeated the fifth-seeded Lancers (21-4) in a State 2B semifinal game at Gateway Sports Complex in Yakima on Saturday. Jesse Brumley had a double to lead Liberty. Freeman advances to the State 2B championship game and will face third-seeded Adna at 3:30 p.m. Liberty faces sixth-seeded River View in an elimination game at 1:00 p.m.
